3 Killed In MPV-Express Bus Crash


Three family members were killed while another in critical condition when the MPV they were travelling in crash into an express bus at Km 92, Jalan Lipis-Merapoh.
KUALA LIPIS: Three family members were killed while another is in critical condition when the car they were travelling in crashed into an express bus at Km 92, Jalan Lipis-Merapoh, this morning.

The 2.30am accident killed Toyota Unser multi-purpose-vehicle (MPV) driver Nik Zainuddin Nik Mohamed, 58, his wife Wan Akma Lailee Wan Aziz, 54 and the couple's 24-year-old daughter Nik Lyana.

The couple's another child Ahmad Bahari, 15, is currently treated at the Gua Musang Hospital's intensive care unit in Kota Baru.

District police Chief Superintendent Abdul Razak Hassan said initial investigations revealed that Nik Zainuddin lost control of the wheel resulting the MPV to veer into the opposite lane and crash into the oncoming bus.

He said the express bus driver and 42 passengers travelling from Kuala Lumpur to Kota Baru, Kelantan escaped unhurt.
